There are many who have heard of The Ridings School but only a smaller number who actually know about life in our vibrant and engaging community. The successes are many and the positive contribution of our student body continues to grow.

GCSE Examination Results 2008!
We are delighted and immensely proud of the achievements of our young people. Their examination results can only be described as outstanding and reflect the hard work and application that they have shown in their chosen subjects. It is their drive and determination above all else that has created the changed atmosphere in the school and the culture of success for all that we now see. There is no doubt that the high quality of teaching now found in the school has been a catalyst to inspire so many to step forward and do well.
These students are the first cohort to follow the new, broader curriculum model that was introduced to meet the aspirations, interests and ambitions of our student body. Their successes demonstrate the support of the local community for a school providing a wide range of both academic and vocational options and the benefits that can be found. It is encouraging to note that every one of our leavers will embark upon a course of further training or has already entered the world of work. We offer our congratulations to each and every one of them and look forward to hearing of further successes in the years that lie ahead.

New site launches!
This is the new Ridings School website, many changes will be made over the followings months as more content is added, including, and I'm sure you'll be happy to hear this - a homework section! The internet and the information it holds can be very productive and aid learning in a big way.
Teachers at the Ridings will be making use of various online resources in the near future. Also note, any links highlighted in red are currently under construction but will be completed over the following weeks.
Prom 2008...
The year 11 students this year showed exceptional style, taste, and moves on the dance floor at their end of year prom. If you are an ex student and would like a disc with all high resolution images posted out to you then please send requests to: James Ramsden.
