Departmental Aims and Objectives:

• To give pupils an opportunity to develop the skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening using a variety of stimulating and enjoyable approaches.
• To give pupils an insight into the culture and civilisation of the countries where french is spoken.

The department is looking at the possibilty of introducing other Modern European Languages. This may take the form of "taster courses" and tourist courses in addition to examination courses.
