Physical Education KS3
Description
There are 3 x 50 minute lessons = 150minutes per week.
Students follow the National Curriculum and follow a variety of different activities including; football, netball, basketball, rounders, dance, gymnastics, fitness, volleyball, badminton, Trampolining, cricket, softball and athletics.
On entry to the department the students complete ‘base line’ assessments. This ensures realistic targets for all students and that attainment is accurate. Throughout KS3 students are assessed using ‘Core Skills’. The introduction of ‘Sport Education’ enables students to take a more active role in their learning with students leading warm ups and skills sessions, as well as officiating games.
